The Regional Municipality of Durham Region is east of Toronto, in the Golden Horseshoe area of Ontario. It is a mix of rural, residential, and commercial land. North Durham is mostly rural, has a thriving agriculture sector, and is home to Oak Ridges Moraine.

Getting around
You can get around the region with any of our transit systems. You can take GO Transit from Clarington west into Toronto, and our travel partners help make travelling easier for you. You can also travel safely on your bike in our bicycle-friendly communities.
